We can today confirm that John Binnie has renewed his contract at The Volley for another season. 
The big defender put in some strong performances at centre back and played an integral part in our First Division title success last season and will remain part of Coco’s squad for the upcoming season.

After a loan spell at Bathgate Thistle for the second half of the 2025/26 season, a deal has been agreed between Armadale Thistle and Bathgate Thistle for a permanent move for the midfielder. 
We thank Kai for his contribution and effort during his time at The Volley and we wish his every success in the future footballing endeavours.

We can confirm former under 20’s skipper Aidan Mcphillips will move to Harthill Royal permanently after a deal was agreed to allow Aidan to continue in his development at the Royal. Aidan regularly trained with the first team and was another player from our 20’s who went onto make his debut a few years back. We wish Aidan well in the next part of his career. 
Joining Aidan at the Harthill next season will be talented young Midfielder Mo Ceesay. Mo goes on loan for a season after a penning a new long term deal at The Volley. Mo like Aidan has regularly trained with the first team and has a few first team league appearances including notching his first senior goal against Peebles 18 months ago at 16 years of age. He will go and continue his development with a loan spell in Division 2 and we wish him well for the upcoming season.
Aidan and Mo will link up with former teammate Lewis Roberts, who was another player from Ritchie Hastings u20 side that went onto make a few appearances for the first team. We wish all 3 players all the best in their next football adventure. 

Earlier this evening, the first cup draw of the season was made. We have been drawn at home to take on Haddington Athletic in round two of this season’s competition.

Yesterday afternoon, Bob was presented with the Volunteer Lifetime Attainment Award from the Voluntary Sector Gateway for a lifetime of services towards raising funds for Armadale Thistle FC.
Bob has spent the last 30 years selling the Dale Lotto outside the Armadale Co-op on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. He has also served in a number of capacities on the Supporters Club Committee over the years and regularly run the line on matchdays until he was no longer fit to do so. 
His commitment to the Club is an inspiration to everyone and his award is very well deserved.

Armadale Thistle are delighted to confirm the signing of Goalkeeper Jack Wilsdon.
Jack whose previously clubs include Whitburn Juniors, Bo’ness Athletic and Blackburn United will bring good experience to the goalkeeping area and will work closely with club captain Andy Murphy and goalkeeping coach Steph McCafferty.

Last night as you may know we held our end of season Player of the Year Awards. 
Our BIG winner which may not come as a shock to anyone was CB who scooped an impressive four awards.
Thanks to everyone who came along and we all hope you had a great night. A massive thanks also goes to Andy Chung who provided our entertainment for the evening.

First award was Player’s POTY, voted for by his teammates, CB was the winner.
We went onto Management POTY and this went to Vice Captain Ewan Herriot, a rock at the heart of the Dale back line 👊🏼

It was then another hat-trick for CB as he scooped his third award of the evening, picking up, Supporter’s POTY voted for by you 👏🏼 
The final award also voted for by you was Young POTY. This award landed CB a quadruple.

On Saturday, Alan Higgins plays his final game for the Dale for a while as he leaves for a new job which takes him travelling. 
We thank Higgy for his contribution which saw him help the Dale win the league and secure back to back promotions.

🤕 - A horrific injury left Robbo sidelined for the past nine months. In the last couple of months, he has been training with squad, and rebuilding his fitness,  which we are delighted to see.

Armadale Thistle can confirm that midfield magician Ruari MacLennan has called time on his playing career.
Ruari broke onto the scene after coming through Clyde's youth system, making his debut at 18 years old. Rooster made 72 appearances for The Bully Wee and scored 10 goals.
Rooster is known to most for his performances at Linlithgow Rose, where he played for 10 seasons over 2 spells. 
Ruari won the East Super League with The Rose during his first stint. A season with Bo'ness United split the 2 spells. 
Ruari signed for The Dale in 2021 and played a huge part in our promotion last season. Rooster still more than played his part this season, rolling back the years and showing his class in the middle of the park.
Rooster is widely regarded as one of the best players to grace the juniors and we wish him all the best in his retirement.

I'm delighted that I've had the chance to end my career at The Dale. It's a well run club with some great people involved. The club is on the up and I'm glad I got to play a part in that journey. 
Thanks to Derek for bringing me in from Linlithgow, I've made some great friends here and over my career. 
Coco's been a great team mate for the last 15 years. He's the 3rd best player I've played with behind Roddy and Gary McSwegan, to be fair Swiggy has only played and scored in the Champions League 😂.
I'm thankful to all the players and coaches I've had the chance to work with over the years, I've enjoyed every minute of it!

Armadale Thistle are delighted to announce that club captain Stoogs McLeod has been appointed as a first team coach.
Stoogs has taken the decision to retire from playing and signed off in style with a goal in his final game against Burntisland. 
Stoogs is well known and loved around the West Lothian footballing world, with stints at West Calder, Blackburn, Bathgate and 2 with The Dale.
Stoogs is adored by the fans at The Volley, with his work ethic and hunger for success on the park contributing to this. He is a leader both on and off the park and he will add plenty of experience to our coaching staff.
As much as we'll miss him on the park every Saturday, we're glad he's chosen to stick around!

It was a weird feeling on Saturday knowing it was my last game and it was good to sign off with a goal and also a win. I’ve enjoyed my time at all the clubs you mentioned and met some great people along the way and some friends for life. 
I’m now excited to get going on the other side of the sideliines. Thanks to Coco for giving me the opertunity to step into coaching and I’m looking forward to working with him, Gav and the group of players we have for the upcoming season. 
I would like to thank all my managers that have helped me over the 18/19 years in the senior game. 
Richie Hastie, Jim Henderson, Andy Collie, Mark and Jamie and Blackburn. Finally Derek for bring me back to the Dale and Coco for this season.

For personal reasons, Assistant Manager Colin Leiper will be taking some time away from football.
Leips is no stranger to Dale fans, having made many visits to The Volley in opposing colours before Derek Strickland signed him to play for Armadale in 2018.
The ball winning centre-half was quickly adored by The Dale loyal and he was a mainstay in his time at the club. Colin played for the club in their final season in the junior set-up and secured promotion from East of Scotland Division 3 in his final season as a player.
Colin then joined his namesake as Assistant Manager heading into our first season in EOSFL Division 2. There has been quite a large turnover within the squad this season but the boys fought for promotion right until the last day before we were pipped to 3rd by Edinburgh South.
Leips has also turned out a handful of times for The Dale this season during an injury crisis and he hadnt missed a beat. 
Colin is an all round great guy with a passion for football. He'll be missed around our club.

Former Dale manager Gerry Collins has sadly passed today aged only 69 . Our thoughts and prayers go out to all Gerry’s family and friends at this sad time

This season marked Robbie's 12th as an Armadale player, with his service coming over 2 spells. He contributed with 6 goals and 4 assists in 11 appearances for The Dale this season.
Robbie is as prolific as they come, bagging multiple top scorer awards, winning player of the year and player's player of the year. He was also featured in the EOSFL Division 3 team of the season last year.
Robbie will go down in the history books as an Armadale legend and I'm sure you'll join us in wishing him all the best for the future.
